I started a new gig in 2019 as a radio presenter for daytime radio at RadioLantau.com. I had a chance to interview Miss World Netherlands 2018 on her way back from the Miss World 2018 Pageant in Sanya, China. Leonie Hesselink is a charming young lady with lot's of ambition, confidence and beauty. Tune in HERE to listen to our fun conversation. The interview took place at a coffee shop in Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
My husband and I try to walk every day for exercise, to explore, take photographs and enjoy some time together without the sometimes annoying electronic devices. While we were walking along the river trail, we noticed a bike, a backpack and a pair of shoes as you see them in the photo. This by itself is not such a big deal, but what we did find amusing was that 24 hours later, while we were walking down the same path; everything remained in place just as the day before. We actually snapped this photo on day two.
Spring is such a lovely time of year. We were walking around the Alster Lake in the middle of Hamburg, Germany on a lovely spring day and we came across a bevy of swans. There were four cygnets near the shore feeding, with Mum close by keeping an eye on her babies. We watched for a while as they took turns plunging their heads under water looking for some fresh pondweed, tadpoles, insects or whatever was available for lunch that day. It was funny to see their little bums up in the air as their heads were under water searching for food.
We are going to call these posts “Kimberley Funnies”. Please feel free to share.
We have all made mistakes along our individual paths. They can bring regrets, a feeling of self-consciousness, difficult times and many awkward circumstances where we have wanted to hid and forget that anything ever happened. But at the end of it all, it taught us a lesson about life and the people around us. So never regret your honest mistakes. And move forward with a positive outlook.
Memories flow like the waves of a storm,
Icy cold with hate, sweet as well as warm.
This one thought consumes you forever,
It is part of your life and oh, very clever.
A soft force beckons slowly from above,
An emotion that we engulf called love.
We hold on to our desires, so bitter sweet,
Until we are intoxicated and very complete.
Is it a dream, where our lips gently kiss,
Or a mirage of happiness, that we miss.
For a fleeting moment you are all mine,
Can I be imagining something so divine.
Just the memory of your special touch,
Jolts, through me, and hurts very much.
I listen for the beating of your heart,
It’s very near but we are so far apart.
Come back to me soon my dearest one,
This loneliness is no longer any fun.
May the wind tenderly whisper to you?
Of our precious memories, so very true.
There are times in our lives when we are away from our loved ones. My wonderful soul mate was a former marine and then became an International business man. So he was away weeks at a time. Unfortunately it was not easy to be in contact. And I remember the ache in my heart and the tears of loneliness. That is when I began to write prose and poetry. To keep the memories visual in my heart and mind.
When we first arrived in Hamburg, Germany we had a chance to experience a lovely town on the south-eastern side of Hamburg called Bergedorf. It was our first unexpected undertaking of the Northern German hospitality. This quaint town has a lot to offer, like the old charming buildings with cobbled stone paths and lovely shops to wander through, and the picturesque castle that is now a museum that also hosts weddings and luncheons. St. Petri and Pauli Lutheran Church, is the oldest of the central location. This pocket church has a wonderful architectural design. Definitely worth a visit and a nice stroll along the Bille river. Then stop off at one of the local cafes or restaurants, to taste the local cuisine of Northern Germany. This lovely town inspired me to write this travel poem.
International Perspective by Kimberley Kleczka
Home is where you may lay down your hat,
In another country, oh yes, so fancy that.
A complex language that is so difficult to spell,
Some words as long as a large table, oh well.
So here we are wondering what to do next,
Scrunching and scratching totally perplexed.
We have done this ah, so many times before,
Tis a wonderful adventure, so what is in store.
Exploring our local town, oh what a sight to see,
Bergedorf, the old and the new, Cafe's with tea.
Beautiful houses-and terraces with colour galore,
Old buildings, crooks and crannies, even more.
Friendly faces with panting pooches, passing by,
“Hallo” they say, nodding with a twinkle in their eye.
Eating ice cream seems to be a very popular here,
As well as wurst, bretzels and lots of cold beer.
Finally you find the local toilets, which are very clean,
Bring your change, you must pay for use of the latrine.
Running, biking and pole walking are popular sports,
So is rowing, sailing and curling who would have thought.
There are a great many international restaurants to enjoy,
Supermarkets with aisles of honey, chocolate and even Chips Ahoy.
Festivals, music, shopping and a Starbucks we have, great!
So Bergedorf, we have arrived with a schnitzel on our plate.

When I associate phenomena as a passionate drive, never give up-attitude’ and endless energy with a person, a warm human being, then Kimberley Kleczka is on top of my mind. I met her during the Miss World Pageant 2003 on the unique Sanya island, a subtropical part of China. Kimberley was not one of the participants, but she sure was the queen of them all, as a mother, a coach, and a spokeswoman.
Kimberley Kleczka is the "whole package" when it comes to bringing your creative ideas to life. Her professionalism and experience sets her apart from her peers. Her work ethic and integrity sets her above all others.
A year ago, I conducted a search for a Voice Over coach who would be able to explain the basics of the Voice Over industry. I was fortunate to discover Kimberley Kleczka, whom clearly goes above and beyond what one would expect of a Voice Over coach. She not only offers unique, one-on-one training, but genuinely cares and inspires you to do your best and work your hardest. Her
